We made this for the wobbly months.

There's a stage nobody warns you about.

They can sit, but not really. They can stand, but only if they're holding onto something. And they want to go everywhere.

So you follow them. All day. Hands out, half a step behind.

You put down a mat. You pad the corners. You move the coffee table. And they still find the one bare patch of floor in the whole house.

Then one day you look away.

You're putting your shoes on. Or answering the door. Or helping your other one with something.

And you hear it.

They're fine. They're always fine. But you feel awful anyway, and you carry it around for the rest of the day.

That's the part nobody talks about enough. Not the fall. The way it makes you feel about yourself.

So we made something small.

Poppie is a soft cushion your baby wears on their back. It's shaped like a little dragon, or a frog, or an elephant. It weighs almost nothing.

When they tip backward, it hits the floor before they do.

That's it. That's the whole thing.

It won't stop every fall. It's not a helmet. It doesn't cover the front or the sides. We're not going to tell you it does.

What it does is turn the hard floor into something softer, in the one place you can't always be.

You're already doing enough. You padded the house. You watch them constantly. Nobody needs to tell you to try harder.

Nobody can be in two places at once. That's not a failure. That's just the job.

Safe things can be cute. Your baby is going to be in a hundred photos this year. None of them should look like a safety manual.

We'd rather be honest than impressive. We'll always tell you what Poppie does and what it doesn't. That's how we'd want to be sold to.
